Jack Black has returned to the screen with “Minecraft Movie.” After the film is over, you may feel more desires than he has.
Over the years, Black has solidified himself as a comedy legend and has launched a musical chop. However, this guy has been working in Hollywood for decades. That means his catalogue is quite deep. So, if you need to choose, we’ve put together nine of his best films to guide you.
These are not in a specific order, so love them as you think they are appropriate.

School School (2001)
As with last year, there is a reason the “Rock School” scene has become a consistent virus on social media. Written by Mike White, director Richard Linklater and creator of “The White Lotus,” the film is a fun musical balm in which Jack Black plays the teacher (in fact, we forgive him, not because it’s a scam, but we forgive him).
Along the way, he planted them confidently, supporting their dreams, and of course bringing laughter. “School of Rock” combines all of Black’s talent and remains one of the best in his catalogue.

The Holiday (2006)
Look, Jack Black deserved to lead more ROM.com. The aging of “shallow hull” may be poor, but “holidays” is clearly not the case. His character miles remains the gold standard for top-class men. He is handsome, devoted, funny, sweet, just a winner.
“High Fidelity” Jack Black (Touchstone Pictures)
High Fidelity (2000)
“High Fidelity” was a Black breakout movie, so it’s impossible not to include it on this list, even if “Jack Black Film” wasn’t the main character technically. This is a film that helped him on the path to becoming a common name.
Kyle Gus and Jack Black are “Tentative D” (HBO)
Destiny’s Pick Tensive D (2006)
Tensile D is a big part of Jack Black’s career, so even a box-office bomb should include the only film they’ve made, Tensile D. It’s a Jack Black movie that’s wonderfully absurd and you should probably watch at least once.
Jack Black from “Tropic Thunder” (Dreamworks)
Tropic Thunder (2008)
“Tropic Thunder” is a key film in the Black catalogue, and it satirizes Hollywood quite viciously, surrounds him with key talents such as Ben Stiller, Tom Cruise and Robert Downey Jr.
DreamWorks Animation
Kung Fu Panda (2008)
Jack Black has done a lot of narration, but has piped up to the PO of the hugely successful animation franchise “Kung Fu Panda” and is definitely at the top of his animated films. There’s something very adorable about the pandas and the story is amazing.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle
We always knew Jack Black was funny, but we didn’t know he needed to play a teenage girl trapped in his body until the hit “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.” And certainly, the impression of Celdarius Blaine in the second film is fantastic, but that can’t surpass the first one in which he plays Bethany.
Jack Black (Paramount) from “Bob Roberts”
Bob Roberts (1992)
Jack Black’s part in “Bob Roberts” is actually quite small, and he only pops out in a few scenes. However, these scenes are quite memorable and are extremely important in making what the film is pointing out in the end. Yes, we count it on this list.
“Peaches” music video
Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023)
Technically he’s the villain in this film, but he’s definitely the best Bowser we’re ever going to get, and his performance in “Peach” stands the test of time. It stands out easily in Jack Black’s narration work.

Orange County (2002)
It’s no surprise that “Orange County” is among the top Black movies, as they marked the first team-ups of Jack Black and Mike White before “Rock School.” He stars in this one alongside Colin Hanks. This is an extra bonus.
