Cadillac – Whether you’re interested in movies, comics, video games, tabletop games or pop culture in general, Cadillac is where it will be this Saturday.
The 10th Annual Cadillac Pop Culture Convention is set at WEX from 11am to 6pm, and while the event feels familiar, it brings exciting new elements to fans of comics, anime, games, cosplay, sci-fi, horror and more.
Despite concerns about the roof of WEX auditorium, event organizer Jeff Miller, owner of Wargames North, confirmed that CON is happening as planned
“So how can we put it? It’s new, but not new. We still have artists, vendors, cosplayers, magic gatherings, groups playing role-playing games,” he said. “It’s not a dungeon or a dragon, but a new role-play system called “Mythmaker” created by Brian Cool. ”
Cool runs two game sessions on Cadillac Pop Culture Con. The first session will take place at noon, while the second session will start at 3pm. You are not ready to play the game. Those interested in playing must view and participate.
Miller also said he was pleased to announce that Marvel artist Jerry DeKair will be joining WEX on Saturday.
Miller says he has drawn multiple cartoons, including Wolverine, Hulk, and Deadpool, and holds presentations where he can see him draw, and he discusses the mathematics of the painting.
“In the past few years, artists from Marvel and DC have come out, but it’s been hot since someone came here,” Miller said.
Caliber comics will also be back this year. Caliber was created by Gary Reed in 1989 and established himself as one of the leading American comic book publishers in the 1990s. Since its founding, Caliber Comics has published over 1,400 comics and graphic novels.
Finally, Miller said the vendors will be taking part in the event from 11am to 6pm to sell everything from cartoons and toys to art, jewelry and horror-related items. For more information, please visit the Pop Con Facebook page at www.facebook.com/cadillacpopculturecon.
