On Thursday, May 29th, 2025, Ebony Life Place will redefine the dining and cultural experience with the grand opening of Afrobeat, the sanctuary of Afrobeat, the sanctuary of Afrobeat, the magnificent sanctuary of Afrobeat. Located in the heart of Lagos' Victoria Island, this groundbreaking restaurant is not just a place to eat, but a life into Africa's most influential genre of music.

At Afrobeat, guests are invited to travel through the rich landscape of contemporary African cuisine, where each course (salad, soup, mains and desserts) halts as a loving tribute to the land prize money supplied by local farmers. The menu is a celebration of heritage, a harmonious blend of traditional Nigerian flavours and diasporic influences.

As guests enter the space they are greeted with an atmosphere immersed in the essence of Africa. The atmosphere of Afrobeats is summoned through memorials and music videos of the iconic superstars curated by Trace, the founder and promoter of the world-renowned genre. Furniture decorated with warm shades of red clay and terracotta, walls of wood and mud texture, and afro-fancy chandeliers casting soft glow. At one end of the room stands a clock with a carved mask of the African King, a sentinel of identity and pride. Meanwhile, abstract murals come to life, reflecting rhythm, rebellion and the spirit of renaissance.

The attendees were legendary artists, next generation creators, cultural historians and global figures, all of which helped shape the Afrobeat movement.

“The Afrobeat reflects who we are and what we value,” said Mo Abudu, CEO of Ebonylife Place. “The restaurant is a bold move that celebrates culture, curates its stories and gives it a home in the town where it was born.”
