Between excellent cuisine made using produce grown on the premises and the clutches of the cozy farmhouse chic room, Ludoyenne was already a favorite day trip to Paris fashion sets.
There is another reason to make an hour’s trip outside of Paris: a private dining room with 10 seats. This is the facility’s latest collaboration with Project 213a, a four-year-old design company of Theresa Marx, Clement Deboeuf and Jurgita Dileviciute, and footwear label Jude also gathered.
They were already behind artisan pieces, from ceramic side tables to custom headboards, adding modern je-ne-sais-quoi to this address owned by Australian chefs James Henry and Sean Kelly.
After cutting teeth in Paris’ Best Ronomic Scenes, friends moved to the area in 2017 to begin the project.

Witty: Early records placed a magnificent hall dating back to the feudal era of property, later becoming the retreat of Countess Du Barry, a favorite of King Louis XVI of France. It is now owned by the Mortemart family and has been calling it home for over two centuries.
In the 1970s, the space occupied by the restaurant at Le Doyenné was a workshop where artists Niki de Saint Phalle and Jean Tinguely created monumental sculptures.
For about five years, highly skilled local artisan hosts who were able to maintain the integrity of the listed historic sites were needed to transform a centuries-old barn into a modern incarnation.
The restaurant’s lofty windows open in orchards and vast vegetable gardens, and are grown following regenerative farming practices. Since then, the great produce on the table and the Michelin star has been born in 2023.
