Adil Hussain signed Kabir Singh without reading the script.
Recalling that he signed Kabir Singh without even reading the script, the actor confessed that he regrets directing Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Adil was asked if this will be a new trend considering the success of Animal. He said: I think I saw part of that movie. This is the only movie in my life that I watched without reading the script or watching the Telugu movie it was based on. Then I went to meet Kabir Singh in Delhi and left 20 minutes later. The only film I have ever regretted doing was Kabir Singh. Because this movie is misogynistic and makes you feel small as a person. ”
Adil Hussain defends freedom of expression
“I didn't even have the courage to watch 'Animal' so I can't comment on it. I was told by a trusted friend and I can't comment on it until I've seen it. But I'm part of Kabir Singh, so I can't comment on it.” I think everyone has the right to make films as they like. I defend his (Sandeep Reddy Vanga's) freedom to make films. I completely disagree with the opinion. I think movies like Kabir Singh glorify something that is not beneficial to society. It's the misogyny of men and towards someone (not necessarily a woman). It justifies violence. I've said before that the only movie I regret is Kabir Singh.”
Adil will next be seen in the action thriller 'Uraj' starring Janhvi Kapoor.
