Nigeria-based Afrobeats Sensation Eneez will release his latest single, “Sade.” This song is an ode to his women who want him to be patient as he leaves the house to pursue success abroad.
Performed in Yoruba, Eneez tells the true story of anyone traveling abroad in search of success. He asks him to trust him, be patient, and to be patient with him to share his income after his return. “The song is about a man who wants to leave the village for green meadows but wants his love to wait for him. In our culture, we can usher women and bring wealth home or send them to their families to enjoy success,” Annies said.
The language of the song is not English, but the emotions are unmistakable. Richard Banton of Vibe 105 FM in Toronto said, “Long-distance relationships are so common these days that the release of this song is timely. Whether in Nigeria, France, Canada or Australia, everyone knows the love they have overseas.”
“Sade” will be released on all platforms on Friday, April 4, 2025.
