Amit Sial speaks up
In an interview with YouTube channel Hindi Rush, Amit spoke about the issue of rising aides in the film industry. He feels that producers should be ready for such things.
Amit said, “These extra costs and impact on the film and their overall budget are 100% real. You take people high on the pedestal. You go to him as a producer and you know who he is as a person and an actor.”
The actor said he added that public fascinating stars inevitably bring their own demands and complexities and that they must find ways to avoid these realities.
Amit said, “I understand that the cost is high, but you can’t choose the wrong people for the film you want to make. You want a huge star that guarantees an audience. And you have to pay these costs without complaining… There’s no reason to complain. If you don’t feel like something is wrong, then no one has a gun on your head.”
What did Anurag Kashyap say?
Amit’s comments respond to Anuragh’s comments that he made a year ago. In an interview with film people, Anurag noted that a significant portion of the film’s budget is often not headed towards actually making the film, which often sparks debate over the costs of the industry.
He said, “It’s not a holiday, it’s not a picnic. Much of the money spent on making the film goes into the tools. It goes into the aides. You shoot in the middle of the jungle, but one car is sent specifically to the city to get the five-star burger you want.”
In terms of work, Amit was last seen in Raid 2 alongside Ajay Devin, Riteish deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor, Saurab Shukla and Rajat Kapoor.
