Two bright stars of South Asian cinema, Indian actress Alia Bhatt and British-Indian actor Dev Patel, are honored in Time magazine's esteemed “100 Most Influential People of 2024'' list. He has secured his position and is basking in the joy of a double victory.
Heart of Stone director Tom Harper, who co-starred with Arya for the first time, wrote an article for the same magazine praising Bhatt as “a true international star.”
Harper praised her as a dedicated and collaborative artist and praised her willingness to embrace creative challenges. He said, “I met Alia in her English film debut, Heart of Stone. Despite her fame, she was a reserved and funny person on set. I loved the way she worked. There's an elegance to it, a focus and an open approach to things.” One of my favorite moments of hers in this movie was an improvisation at the end of a take where she picks up her emotional thread and runs off. ”
