Brookville – More than dozens of students at Brookville Area High School won center stage at the Brookville Raider Showcase last week.
Two nights of entertainment will be provided and let’s take a look at some of the projects students completed that year.
The showcase included displays in the Technology/Engineering, Mathematics, Science, ELA, History and Arts departments. The display included robots, 11th grade sonnets, tapestries of medieval literature, masks, career opportunities, and paintings.
Students at the Friends of Rachel Club had visitors add links to the friendship chain. Each link contained a recent act of kindness.
The talent show began with senior Ganon McMaster singing “Star Spangold Banner,” followed by “Alma mater,” sung by the chamber singer.
The music selections included Joshi Buzzard’s “She’s Previously Me,” Kendall Neal’s “I Rather Rather,” Henry May’s “Mountain Over the Mountain,” Julie Linker’s “Rolling in to Deep,” and Mallory Taylor’s “What Can I Do.”
Two bands played during the show.
Moops is back to please the audience with three selections, including “Bad to the Bone” Bu George Thorogood & The Destroyers. Moops members are teachers Erin McCronich, Conor Omecinski and Eli Thompson. Director Erich will be in May.
Student bands of current members Emery Burkett, Carly Lindems, Gabby McLaughlin, Adalin Miller and Justin Smith also performed. Their choices included Megan Moloney’s song “Indifference”, “Breakdown, Man of the Moon.”
In addition to the vocal selection, the talent show included rope magic from Jacob Clontz, Sorren Morelli’s violin solo “Czardas.” And then there was a dramatic presentation, “Santa is “sweating” by Ava Adamson and Kendall Neal.
The talent show was closed with senior Ryland Davis singing “How It End.”
The roles as masters of the ceremony were Ezra Person and Adalin Miller.
The Brookville Raider Showcase was presented by the High School Drama Club. Revenues benefit the Raider Foundation and Brookville High School Drama Club.
