The bright and vibrant Chartreuse (yellow green tint) is emerging as one of the outstanding tints of spring summer 2025. It can be seen on both the runway and the streets.

Major fashion houses embrace Chartreuse in distinctive ways. In Prada, a yellow-green shade, named after French liqueurs, appears in a structured head-to-toe ensemble made of satin and technical fabrics. The drape and sculpture dresses emphasize visual influence. Gucci takes a retro approach and presents the Chartreuse Patent Leather A-line dress. With a glossy finish and beautiful lines, the Look Channel 1960S style.
At Gunni, the shades take on a more relaxed, streetwear-inspired tone, featuring pieces such as striped ribbed tank tops and oversized mesh t-shirts. Chartreuse gives a bold twist to everyday silhouettes and feels particularly friendly to those who hesitate to try out more vibrant shades.
Issey Miyake offers more organic colors. Made from hemp-based fabric, the hemp dress features soft, asymmetrical lines designed to move with the body. Dries Van Noten explores a more romantic orientation, combining Chartreuse, silk and lace accents in contrasting tones for a striking, feminine effect.
How to wear it?
Chartreuse Green is not the easiest color to integrate into your wardrobe, but it offers several entry points. Wearing dresses, jumpsuits, tailored suits and more head-to-toe will provide a bold, modern silhouette. Gucci shows this in the GG Canvas Jumpsuit. Its vibrant hue brings out a retro cut with a sharp, wearable look.

Blake Lively recently showed us how to seamlessly slide Chartreuse into everyday style. Paired with a Chartreuse lace dress shot in New York last October and loose cardigans and dark thigh high boots, she showed off her stunning urban look.
Another option (probably the easiest) is to adopt shade with a small touch, such as a bag, a pair of mules, a textured top, or simple jewelry. Gucci Jackie bags are a great example of this approach, with the green shade of Chartreuse. It’s bright enough to accentuate your look, but can be easily combined with other pieces.
Fresh tints for instant updates
Chartreuse’s return is no coincidence. It is part of a wider movement driven by two forces and bold colours return to fashion. On the one hand, there is the current wave of nostalgia from the 1990s and 2000s. Meanwhile, recent aesthetics have gained popularity on social networks through the phenomenon of “Brat Green.” This is a flashy shade of acidic green with a cover of the “Brat” album by British artist Charli XCX.
But while all the unique shades of green today are rage, it’s not the first time I’ve enjoyed a moment in the fashion spotlight. In 1997, Nicole Kidman made an impression with the Oscars in a Green Dior satin dress designed by John Galliano. The dress has become iconic and helped bring Green back to the agenda at major fashion events.
Since then, colour has seen multiple revivals and reinventions. He now makes a bold comeback in the form of a Chartreuse. Not only is it famous in the 2025 Spring Summer collection, it is also featured in 2025-26 fall winter. Chartreuse was long considered an intricate shade to remove, but now carves out a permanent place in the fashion landscape.
