Vishal Furia 2 by Chhorii
Vishal says that the Chhorii 2 was organic. “Of course, there are obvious advantages to having a sequel, as part one is on track. But I was hoping that the story would evolve on its own and be ready to tell.”
Chhorii is one of the few horror films from India in recent years to give thumbs up from all fans, including horror fanatics. Speaking about where India’s fear is lacking, Vishal says, “We don’t have a good fear because none of us want to talk about the arts and crafts that make fear.” He elaborated on the use of Jump Scare in Indian horror films, saying, “Jump Scare is an interesting tool, but I think the eerie atmosphere works. I remember Elm Street and Freddie (Kroger, the antagonist of the film) being with me for years.
About the illness of Indian horror movies
He asked him if he felt that Indian filmmakers hadn’t done terrifying justice before, and he said, “We haven’t cut the surface. We have folklore, traditional myths of terror, rich social evils, and now technical evils appear.
Chhorii 2, a sequel to the critically acclaimed release of 2021, is directed by Vishal Furia. Starring Nushrratt Bharuccha and Soha Ali Khan. The film will be released on Amazon Prime Video on April 11th.
