Beyoncé won two awards for her favorite female country artist and her favorite country album, and when 11 AMA winners were first recognized in the country music category.
Post Malone also received his first trophy in the country category and won with his favorite male country artist.
First-time candidate Gracie Abrams has taken home the new Artist of the Year.
Eminem won his first AMA in 15 years with his favorite male hip-hop artist and his favorite hip-hop album.
