Nigerian gospel artists Nathaniel Bassy, Mercy Chinwo and Moses Bliss were ranked among the most streamed Nigerian acts in YouTube music in the first quarter of 2025, surpassing several Afrobeat artists.
According to the edited data Debut hubNathaniel Bassey was the highest ranked gospel artist with 52.8 million streams, with Mercy Chinwo having 46.4 million bliss and Moses having 41.5 million bliss.
Mercy Chinwo’s most popular track, “Exprese Love,” has won 133 million plays and has become one of her standout songs, accumulating 25 million plays, “Tobechukwu” (Mercy Chinwoed featuring Mercy Chinwoed), the best-performing songs like Nathaniel Bassey’s “Yahweh Sabaoth.”
In the top 20 rankings, Nathaniel Bassey is No. 13, Mercy Chinwo is No. 17, and Moses Bliss is No. 19 on top of Afro Beat singer BNXN.
Afrobeats Artist Rema Ranked number one in Nigeria in the first quarter 2025 rankings, it continues to have an edge with other major Afrobeat artists. Burna Boy, David, wizkid and Ayra Starr.

He also made a major appearance in the top 20 most streamed artists. Lema’s hit “Calm Down”, featured Serena Gomezbringing together an impressive 223 million stream, and now has reached a groundbreaking 2.5 billion plays. Burna Boy came in second in the 171 million stream.
Ayra Starr came third with a stream of 169 million, breaking Davido by margin after the “guaranteed” singer accumulated 113 million streams. David’s numbers were enough to prey on his rival Wizkid, who came fifth in the 102 million stream.
