Hit-making recording artist A-Trak praised Jenkins' legacy, saying, “We showed Sacha Jenkins how many of us think and speak about language, hip-hop culture, and more. Rip, big losses.”
Los Angeles rapper El Prez said, “Lip Sacha Jenkins. Ego travel has nurtured me. Much of his writings raised me. It really represents the form of our art as subtle art and the message it can convey. It's a sad day for hip hop.”
Music editor Eric Deep recalls working with Jenkins on Mass Appeal. He tweeted: “Rip Sacha Jenkins. I was honored to be around him when I freelanced for mass appeal. I studied his work. I'm not here without his blueprint.”
