After 26 years of break, Slickrick returned to the spotlight. His new visual album, victorywill drop on June 13th. He works with actor Idris Elba through the 7wallace label, and Mass Appeal Records also supports the project.

Tracks from the upcoming album Shine With Star Power. Nas adds his signature flow, with British rapper Giggs bringing raw energy, and singer Estelle smoothing it all out with vocals. Rick spent four years of this masterpiece between London and the birthplace of France.
The album will be released as a 30-minute film directed by Meji Arabi, fresh from Beyoncé's work. Black is the king. The film was filmed on three continents, with cameras rolling in the US, UK and Africa. Arabic touches are displayed throughout the film, with a variety of filming locations adding a global feel to the story.
On this project, Idris Elba said, “It was a blessing to work with Slick Rick… to return to the UK and provide something amazing to the hip-hop world. It's a literal gift!”
The film will take place at SXSW London, Shoreditch Town Hall on June 7th. Then on June 13th, when the album drops around the world, it will be screened in New York for the Tribecafe St.
Slickrick hasn't released anything since then The Art of Storytelling It tops Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in 1999. He also reached 8th place on the Billboard 200. His debut album, Slicklick's Amazing AdventuresHe also broke through Billboard's R&B/HIP-HOP list in 1988.
