Another person who once was close to Justin Bieber described the ongoing concerns about the pop singer's mental health and marriage status in the 31-year-old public explosion, vulnerable social media posts, suspicious Coachella's actions and his long-standing friendship and recent move to the Business Association's “torch.”
The person is Ryan Good, Bieber's former road manager, the best man at his wedding to Hailey Bieber and co-founder of his fashion brand Drew House. According to TMZ, after Bieber announced that he had cut his relationship with Drew House, he replied that it was good by expressing concern that the singer has become part of the “cult.”
This supposed “cult” is built around Beaver's religious beliefs and loyalty to the Church, Pastor Judasmith, Smith's famous Christian megachurch.
Sources told TMZ that Good hasn't spoken to Bieber in over a year about his concerns about Smith's impact on pop stars.
Sources told TMZ that they ended contact after Good and Bieber left the Churchome community. It reportedly felt like a cult and the church wanted it.
The recent long Hollywood Reporter story, where Bieber could be in “crisis” and “lost” explained how he came to rely on close inner circles to rely on personal and professional orientations. Members of the circle share his faith and include Smith, 44, who serves as the singer's spiritual advisor.
According to Marie Claire, Beaver's relationship with Smith will return to at least 2010 when he was at least 16 years old. Bieber's mother, Patty Mallett, introduced them. Many years ago, she had heard the sermons of the young, charismatic Smith in Jesus and the Bible when he was a young co-leader of the Youth Department of Seattle-based City Church.
Over the next decade, the city church was reformed as a church, expanding to Los Angeles after Judas Smith's wife, Chelsea Smith, was sitting in the bathroom and reading about problematic celebrities. Chelsea Smith thought that celebrities who find even all successes empty and hopeless could benefit from the gospel. Soon Judas and Chelsea Smith led “one of Hollywood's most influential Christian congregations,” said Marie Claire.
The Hollywood reporter looked at how Smith “became to benefit” from a public association with world-renowned pop stars. In particular, weekly attendance at five church members' locations attracts more than 10,000 parishioners a week, with celebrities like Kourtney Kardashian, Ciara and Russell Wilson being spotted at the Beverly Hills Services.
But if Bieber counts Smith as one of his main advisors, it's not the first time he's looked at leadership from a charismatic religious leader. Bieber was also a member of another celebrity megachurch, Hill Song, who turned his eyes to the trendy pastor of New York-based Carl Lenz, to be his “second father.” Lenz saved Beaver from his “dark” youthful drugs and public meltdowns and helped him “rededicate his life to Christ,” as reported by The New York Times.
However, Bieber announced in 2021 that he had left Hillsong after Lenz was caught up in a scandal over an extramarital incident and other “moral failures” and “breach of trust.”
Now, Bieber is being scrutinized for questions about his relationship with Smith and whether the pastor is helping him. According to TMZ, it certainly doesn't seem to be that good.
Despite Smith's lack of business experience and the fact that he and Good are not getting along well with him, it was disappointing that Bieber added Smith to the Drew House board several years ago, TMZ said.
Concerns about Bieber reported by Good followed the singer's announcement on an Instagram story on April 10, with Drew House “not representing me, my family or my life,” reported Page 6.
Bieber also revealed earlier this month that he was launching a new fashion line, a Hollywood reporter said. He appears to be performing a ritual that shares a video showing an animated version of him and Haley Bieber, saying goodbye to his previous association. Includes Drew House and his longtime former manager, Scott “Scooter” Brown.
For about 15 years, Bieber was able to turn to mega manager Brown to guide his career, but they parted ways more than a year ago. Bieber's advocates say he appears to be a number of other “very successful musicians,” including Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars, whom he chose to manage his career, said a Hollywood reporter.
However, Bieber's recent actions raised questions about how well he and his trustworthy inner circle could handle this responsibility. Among other things, Hollywood reporters cited a source that said Bieber was in debt after the cancellation of the 2022 Justice Tour.
“No matter what he's doing, I pray for him and hope he's fine,” former Beaver collaborator Poo Bear told a Hollywood reporter. Poop Bear is Billboard No. 1S “Despacito”, “I'm The One”, “Where Are one n Now”, “What You Mean You Mean?”
“We see him fall this way… it sees the embodiment of someone who doesn't live their purpose,” another former team member told Hollywood reporters. “He's lost. No one's going to say no to him, so no one's protecting him. You say no, you'll be blown away.”
More recently, Beaver raised his eyebrows last week by entering a close exchange with paparazzi outside the Palm Springs Coffee Shop, Page 6 reported this week. Over the weekend, the video also distributed him at the Coachella Musical Festival, dancing with friends, smoking what looked like marijuana while standing next to his 15-year-old brother Jackson. On social media, he rapped about getting high, talked about disliked himself, posted videos of him having “an angry issues” and feeling “unworthy,” a Hollywood reporter said.
Some people have told People Magazine and other outlets that Haley Bieber is worried about her husband, who shares his husband's son, Jack Bruce.
“She has been in tears lately about his actions,” the source told people. “Things quickly got worse. She's really afraid that something bad will happen to Justin.”
“Haley is very loyal to him,” the source told people. “She hasn't left, but she knows she has to change something.”
However, some suspect that Bieber is not only “fun” but also as a joke to “troll” the media, attract attention, and become “fun.” Bieber “like the man Britney Spears,” Mario Labandeira, known as gossip journalist Perez Hilton, told a Hollywood reporter.
Whatever Bieber is doing, it's full support for his wife, another source told people.
“Haley isn't on the verge of wanting to get divorced or leaving him. That's not true at all,” the source told people. “If there is, she's saddened at how intense he's getting to him now that he's finally coming back from his shell.”
