
Minnesota Fair: Great Minnesota Gathering
Often called “the great gathering of Minnesota,” the Minnesota State Fair is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region.
- The Minnesota State Fair’s “Summer Summer Kick-Off at the Fair” event will be held from May 22-25th, featuring food, drinks, music and shopping.
- Visitors will be able to enjoy the state’s fair food and drink vendors, as well as products from the new shopping booths.
Minnesotan is ready for the state fair season and will receive tickets for this week’s Minnesota Fair “Summer to Summer Kickoff” event.
The fifth “Kick-off to Summer at the Fair” will take place from May 22nd to 25th, with tickets on sale on Fridays.
Event visitors can try out nearly 40 fair food and drink vendors, offering items such as Rick’s Pizza Pickled Pizza, Sweet Martha’s Chocolate Chip Cookies, State Fair Specialty Beers like Mini Donut Beer and Key Lime Pie Beer.
Food vendors include several state fair staples and new spots such as Jersey Joe, Lulu’s public house and Minneapple Pie.
Many new shopping booths are also available, including Kelly’s Candles, Linh T Vo Art and Illustration, Nikkollette’s Macarons, and Set Adrift Art.
Other entertainment such as skateboarding lessons, trivia and fairground walking tours are available during kickoff.
New to this year’s event is Kickoff Cornland Puzzle Hunt, the “latest puzzle hunt adventure at the fairgrounds” from the two Twin City Escape Rooms.
Tribute band Abbasol Elly Fab will also perform on Friday nights and rock band GB Leighton. Spin-to-Winn prizes will also be available for both evenings with the opportunity to win fair admission tickets and entries into the grand prize draw for tickets to the 2025 Grandstand concert and other prizes.
State Fair is adding more resources this year, including sensory experiences, ASL services and phone charging stations.
“Summer Kick-Off at the Fair” will be available on May 22nd and 23rd, with limited daily attendance from 4pm to 9pm, from 11am to 7pm to 7pm and will be available on the State Fair website on Friday, April 4th at 10am.
