Leading his new album and on his first tour in over a decade, Lancaster musician Terrian Mac is having a big year.
Mack, 31, strives to support other artists with his own artistic pursuits. He also takes local creatives to events for the momentum to reach the world of music, and gives back a favor to local creatives by opening the door.
“The more I have the more opportunities that come, the more benefits it only makes for everyone else,” says Mack.
And that is reflected in our approach to tours in the future.
Mack runs under his own LLC and is called Light than Life. It operates essentially like a record label created by Mack, whom he signed. He could also add others to the label, but that’s not happening yet.
As a musician and entrepreneur, Mac does a little bit of it all. He writes, produces, mixes and records. He will help curate the non-profit music lineup of music for Everyvery’s Music Friday Events, who will return on May 16th.

Music Friday returns, and Mac’s upcoming tour, his new album, “Are you guys there?” comes out on Monday.
To tease the album, he played a hangman type game on Instagram. There, people were given the opportunity to win tickets to Hershey Park and a Lancaster-based Pizza Ria 211, under the name of the album title.
Mac says his album was very inspired by the 1998 film The Truman Show, starring Jim Carrey in 1998, who found out that his life was unconsciously airing.
“(It feels like a lot will happen to you in life. Do you know what’s going on? Is there someone there?” Mac says. The album contains 10 songs and doesn’t feature many skits or interludes, says Mack.
This is a collection of songs he wrote to celebrate another achievement. By winning a publishing agreement with online music distribution company United Masters, you can market his music to commercials and films.
This publishing agreement helps him and others he works with to be paid if one of their songs is chosen for the project.
“I was able to write 50 songs for 50 other artists, but I was able to (not credit) the songs,” says Mack. “My names aren’t attached to it, but I wrote them.”

Go on a tour
Mac will proceed to “Light than Life – Open Mic Tour” from June 20th to 27th, striking five cities in seven days.
It will start on June 20th at Lancaster, Penn Square, from 5:30pm to 8pm. The tour continues in New York on June 24th. Philadelphia on June 25th. on June 26th in Richmond, Virginia. Atlanta on June 27th.
Prior to the tour, Mac established relationships with the creative communities of each city, strengthened the venues that made sense, and connected with a variety of artists from each region. He also offered local musicians, not locals, the opportunity to apply to join him on tours and van trips.
Every night, there’s a core group of performers that have not yet been announced. Each concert will then feature the opportunity for local musicians in the city to sign up for an open mic as openers.

Riley Brubaker, who plays under the name Riley Tortola, will be on tour this summer with Lancaster musician Terrier Mac.
Riley Brubaker, a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School, played as Riley Totra and joined Mac on the tour, but helped coordinate the logistics of the tour.
“To tour and show people what we’re already doing in Lancaster, adding them to the fun is a great thing that we can do,” says Bluebaker.
The 21-year-old Brubaker currently lives in Philadelphia, working as a musician and as an intern for taste creators at a music agency. He also works in the restaurant industry.
Brubaker describes his musical style as rock and alternative music. This is bold and emphasizes freedom.
“I like to write songs that are freed,” says Brubaker. He wants to encourage people to live the life they want, live the life they want, live the life they live in line with them, even if it is not the norm.
Mack believes he has helped local communities, including Brubaker, release the album and kickstart the tour.
“I’m the type. I always find a way to get things done. I’m doing this, whether you have support or not,” says Mac. “But I have the support… I feel good.”
