“M3Gan 2.0” brings back the killer robot of the same name, this time giving her a fight with another murderous Android.
Bonker’s new “M3Gan 2.0” trailer begins with “Amie Donald played again and called out by Jenna Davis,” and “I had some bugs in my programming.” That’s a bit modest, but her attempt to kill Gemma (Alison Williams) and Gemma’s young nie, Cady (Violet McGraw), was not evil enough to stop her rebooting with “M3GAN 2.0.”
Williams’ Gemma was first forced to reclaim the M3Gan in the form of a “plastic teletubby” and later upgraded with a higher humanoid design – a robot created with a robot created with Gemma’s original M3GAN technology – to fight Amelia (“Ahsoka” star Ivanna Sakhno), and everyone is captivated by the robot created with the robot created with Gemma’s original M3GAN technology. It’s a fight to pit “this b -h vs. that b -h” just like the “M3GAN 2.0” trailer makes you feel sick.

“M3GAN” became an unlikely hit when it hit theaters in early 2023. It has garnered mostly positive reviews and has earned more than $180 million at the global box office. As a result, the “M3GAN 2.0” looks bigger and more expensive. Its trailer highlights multiple action sequences, including one air-dive watching the M3GAN soar through a dangerous canyon.
The sequel is being directed again by “M3Gan” director Gerard Johnstone and is based on a script co-written by him and “M3Gan” screenwriter Akela Cooper. It seems Johnston and Cooper are not suppressed at all.
If the first “M3GAN” was influenced by horror comedies such as “Child’s Play,” “M3Gan 2.0” looks like a cross between the “Power Ranger” movie and “Alita: Battle Angel.” In other words, it seems to be more suitable for its major summer release date than even fans of the first “M3GAN” had expected.
“M3GAN 2.0” will be appearing in theaters on Friday, June 27th..
