Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano is permanently closed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, with the restaurant’s menu already being removed.
Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano

Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano menu first disappeared last night on May 10th.

The menu was displayed in this green case to the left of the restaurant entrance. The labels for lunch and dinner remain, but they are empty now.

Returning to the restaurant on the morning of May 11th, the corner behind Grand Avenue was very quiet.

The bright red doors of Mama Melrose Ristorante Italiano were closed and the lights were not on in the dining area.

No changes have been made to the menu case since last night, and the lunch and dinner labels are still there. Both use the colors of the Italian flag to match the restaurant’s theme.
Interestingly, both of these labels were covered in one large menu when the restaurant closed. For the past few years, Mama Melrose’s has been offering the same menu for both lunch and dinner. These labels may be left behind when each meal’s menu was previously different.

The Mama Melrose facade has not yet changed, but we expect tarps and construction walls to arrive in the area soon.
Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano was the first official closure at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, with the theme of future lands for Monsters Inc. Both Muppet Vision 3D and Pizzeriazzo will also close immediately on June 7th with final operations at both locations. It has not been announced yet.
If you want to see more Mama Melrose, there is a full video tour starting from the last day of operation.
