Given that many of us around the world struggle to keep our heads above the water when it comes to rent increases, stratospheric utility bills, etc., we can’t make sure we have enough groceries to keep us alive. Spending on luxury fashion sinks among young people as they instead focus on experiences.
That being said, there is no ethical consumption under capitalism, but the urge to put cash on cute bits and pieces probably runs deeper than we want to admit. We will never own a home, an imminent apocalypse or anything like that. With that in mind, this week we will be dropping a new “shop list” to highlight pieces from rising designers, big brands, valuable causes and more to suit every budget.
Every week we reveal the items we actually buy – or at least struggle with the online basket, until we save enough to splurge. For this first one, there is no real rhyme or reason beyond everything being so cute and very much coveted, but there is quite a few out there given that they are really against it.
From Conner Ives T-shirts to the outrageous fluffy mules of the future, the huge history of Willy Chavalia and the much-anticipated adidas collaboration, prepare and prepare your card details.

SpaceBrat Trucker Cap
£140.00
Charli XCX is struggling to let go of Brat and goes to Instagram to reveal that she wants a moment that lasts forever, wondering where she can go next. Suggestion: Brat in the universe? Pick up this clumsy truck driver and discover it a little longer.
I want that

Fur kitten heels from the future
£375.00
Curation at APOC is second to none, and the store brings together the best designers you’ve never heard of from all over the world. In it, footwear brands, which move between invasive fixes, old medieval times and far-flung futures, create unty boots and stupid little kitten heels.

Protect your doll tee
£75.00
You’ve seen it on Instagram, but you still have time to get it as a London-based designer keeps pre-orders open. Yes, protecting the doll requires you to stretch it across your chest and past it, but all revenue is a good place to buy a little to support trans people all over the world. (Photo by Iker Aldama)

Ashley Williams is garbage!!!
£490.00
Ashley Williams appears to be sprinting through the bins, bringing her latest collection to life, pulling out all sorts of candy-colored bits and pieces, wrapping them all around, pulling them all out to create a unique bag and patched dress.
Take me to the trash!

Retired party girl
£30.00
Another brand they are working to support the cause of trance – this time it’s a Safe-only THNX program – is Scarrie, re-releasing past favorites in the form of “retired party girl” tees. Last summer was hardcore. Maybe that’s when we all lifted our legs?

Leo Costello’s doll
Connor Ives wants you to protect the dolls, but Leo Costello wants you to wear them. Best known for its delicate and lightly ghost bows, London Silver Smith has changed his tools to create a series of cute, clear dolly necklaces available in a very limited number.

alaïa mask glasses
£365.00
After being sucked into the trend of small sunglasses a few years later, I realized my mistake in how I do it and accepted that for me the baby is better. These cover half of your face and feature a mega silver mirror finish, making them look like a bad bitch from the future.

Vaquera track jacket
£305.00
Ahead of the release of the new Film Magic Farm, Chloe Sevigny appeared on the complete Vaquera look, filmed from the offbeat brand’s SS25 collection. As always, cropped track jackets and scarf skirts shouldn’t actually work, but if anyone can, it’s Sevigny.
I need it

Perfect Cha Cha Heel
£400.00
Speaking of Sevigny, she repeated the rising shoe label Jude, finishing out the aforementioned Vakera look with towering lipstick red “date” heels. Despite being very typical, I can also make sure they are very comfortable.
It’s better to get those cha cha heels
