Sanjana Ganesan, wife of Indian Pacer Jasprit Bamra, was really not happy with the comments about her son Angad after his father’s response to taking wickets went viral on social media. Sanjana was attending Angad to support Bumrah during Mi vs LSG game at Wankhede Stadium.
Sanjanaganesan, wife of sports presenter and Indian Test vice captain Jaspribumura, called out the troll and “keyboard warriors” for inappropriate comments about his son Angad, who was present with his mother at Wanghaed Stadium during the IPL 2025 crash between Mumbai Indians and Lakknow Super Jants. Angad’s reaction went viral on social media after Sanjana picked up a back-to-back wicket and rejected Abdul Samad and Avesh on consecutive deliveries.
Angad applauded, but not as cheerful as his mother liked. It was a similar response at the 1.5 year old that he had during several other public appearances, and while social media likened his reaction to disappointment from the World Cup 2023 Finals and other such events, Sanjana blamed users for not throwing words like that, especially in relation to children.
“Our son is not your entertainment topic. Jasprit and I do everything in our power to keep Angad away from social media as the internet is a sleazy and mean place. I fully understand what it means to bring your child to a cricket stadium filled with cameras, but please understand that Angad and I were there to support Jasprit. There were so many cameras, but we asked for a bit of empathy for the child.

“We are not interested in his son being viral internet content or national news. The unnecessary opinion of the keyboard warrior decides from the three-second footage who Angad is, what his problem is, what his personality is.”
“He’s a year and a half ago. To throw words like trauma and depression about babies says a lot about who we are as a community. Honestly, it’s really sad. You don’t know anything about our son, and you don’t know anything about our lives, so I demand that you keep your opinions faithful online.
“A little more honest, a little more kindness can really help in today’s world,” Sanjana added. In the past, Virat Kohli’s wife and actor Anushka Sharma made such a request to not catch children.
As for Bumrah, after some Iffy games, Spearhead returned to his highest, taking four wickets and became the main wicket taker of the Mumbai Indians in the IPL. In his fifth victory, MI moved to the top four of the points table, where four games remain.
