Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar shared his inspiration.Kesari Chapter 2‘And he said he wanted to highlight the true history of India through his films.
Akshay Kumar attended the Kesari Chapter 2 Grand Trailer Release Event on Thursday. He joined his co-stars R Madhavan and Ananya Panday.
At a press conference at the release of the trailer, the actor expressed his wishes for a series of “Kesari” films.
The actor praised the courage, loyalty and courage of the people of Punjabi, and said he wanted to tell their stories through films like Kesari.
“Punjab is made up of brave and loyal people and courage. I want to bring their stories to you. I also want to make Kesari 3 and Kesari 4. There are many chapters in Punjab and India, and there are many chapters,” said Akshay Kumar of Punjabi.
The actor further argued that the history book was written from the perspective of “Angres” (the British).
“We don’t write about our history, so we want to bring out the courage that India did and what they did earlier because our history books are written from the Angles perspective. We wanted to bring in the actual history of India through this film,” Akshay Kumar said in Punjabi.
Akshay’s upcoming film is a sequel to his film Kesari, released in 2019. In the teaser, the actor said “F**k you” for the first time.
When asked at a film’s press conference about why Akshay made him say cursed words, the actor justified it by saying that being called a slave by the British was far more abuse than he said.
“Hahn Main Ye Word uses kiya. LekinVohJo Word usne (for the British in the teaser) “You’re still a slave!” – Wasn’t it gali for you? You’re not saying I’m saying you, you’re saying it,” Akshay Kumar said.
He further stated that shooting the British to kill them to call Indian slaves would have been a “lesser” response at the time.
“If we were filming them, that would have been a small response.”
According to the trailer, the movie is Jallianwala Bagh Massacre This features a fascinating courtroom showdown between Akshay Kumar, who portrayed Nia in the film and Akshay Kumar, who portrayed R Madhavan, while portraying Neville McKinley, a lawyer defending the British crown.
The film’s story unfolds with the unforgettable visuals of the massacre, showing the subsequent devastation and ripple effect throughout India.
Kesari Chapter 2 will be released in theaters on April 18th, 2025.
