The dark comedy rethinks Lloyd Kaufman and Troma Entertainment’s 1984 Cult Classic of the Smile, Peter Dinklege, Kevin Bacon, Elijah Wood, Jacob Tremble, Julia Davis and Taylor Page. Macon also scripted the reboot.
As previously revealed, Fear Cineverse of the costume sets the release of the North American film on August 29th. In this film, Dinkraj stars as Winstongoose, the oppressed custodian. Armed with his signature mop, the unlikely hero fights freaks, gangsters and corrupt CEOs while trying to save his relationship with his son.
The film began largely positive notifications at Fantastic Fest and Sidges in late 2023, but has been kept on ice up up until now. The photo was produced by Mary’s parents, Alex Garcia, Kaufmann and Michael Hertz. Executive producers include Andrew Pfeffer, Jay Ashenfelter and Blair.
Wachsberger and Legendary’s 193 sell a combination of legendary films, originals from 193, and third-party titles. There are more movies in the Slate in Cannes. The company’s first two recruits were former Lionsgate executive Wendy Reed and former Picture Perfect Federation executive Ashley Stern.
