Reneé Rapp performed her brand new song, “Leave Me Alowan” at the 2025 American Music Awards on Monday, May 26th.

Rapp certainly provided a moving performance of a new track that she wanted to leave alone so she could enter some shenanigans. It starts with a girl's bathroom stall, where Rapp kicks the wall with her high heeled boots and raids the stage. The 25-year-old kept it very strange, surprising various sensual positions, splitting it together with all the female dancers. Everyone in her band wore white t-shirts with the words “I'll die for the Reneé Rapp.”
“I'm a really bad girl, but I really give you a good kiss,” rap sang on stage. “Leave me alone, bitch, I want to have fun.”
Rapp's excitement was captured video behind the scenes following the performance. In fact, fans can even see the sweet moments they had with her partner guitarist Towa Bird.
“Leave Me Alone” is the first single of Rapp's upcoming sophomore album. Biting me, The release date is currently scheduled for August 1st.
This wasn't just a strange moment at AMA. Global superstar Lopez also opened the show by dancing to a six-minute medley of recent hits. And during “Lose Control” by Tedi Simes, Lopez made it together with one of her female dancers and a male dancer.
LGBTQ+ talent also wiped out many of the awards that fans voted for. Billie Eilish won all seven awards she was nominated for, including Album of the Year and Artist of the Year. Megan The Stallion won her favorite female hip-hop artist, while Doecchii won the Social Song of the Year Award for her hit track “Anxiety.”
Janet Jackson also accepted the Icon Award and played a medley of her hits on stage.
