Sunidhi Chauhan spoke candidly about the incident in an interview and denied being attacked. She said the kids were just having fun. In an interview with Hindustan Times, she said that although she had an idea that the video went viral, this is the first time something like this has happened to her. She even said it wasn't done on purpose. She was performing her second-to-last song and the audience was going wild when she was seen throwing a bottle in the air, she said. Sunidhi went on to say that she fell on stage because one bottle was filled with water. She said, “Yeh kya ho raha hai?” Show Rukh Jayega,” to which fans responded, “No, please don’t.”

She shared further details about the same and said that she hit the microphone with great force but nothing happened. She said she could have been injured if the microphone had been closer to her mouth. She even said she knows of past instances of people intentionally misbehaving or throwing things at performers, which she said is wrong.
For the uninitiated, Sunidhi was performing at Shri Guru Ramrai University's annual festival Zenith 2024 in Dehradun when the incident took place. Photos and videos from the concert are going viral on social media.
