After the ban on Pakistani artists, actor Fawad Khan’s return to Bollywood and with Abir Gural became a topic of discussion. Sunny Deol, an active patriotic filmmaker, was asked to share his views on the topic. In an interview, Sunny states how unity and opportunities should be there when he commented on Fawad Khan’s return.
Fawad Khan’s Sunny Deol returns to Bollywood
He is known for his cross-border patriotic films Border and Gadar, Sunny Deol was asked by HT City whether he would support Fawad Khan’s return to Bollywood. Sunny said, “Hey, I don’t want to go to the political side, so that’s because things start to get messy. We are actors. We work for everyone in the world. Whether someone is watching or not, we are for everyone.
In 2016, for unpublished people, there was an informal ban on Pakistani artists working in Indian films following political conflict. However, in 2023, the Bombay High Court rejected a petition to officially ban Pakistani artists.
Talking about Fawad, he won the hearts in his stints in films such as Khoobsurat (2014), Kapoor & Sons (2016), and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. He is all set to return to the silver screen with Vaani Kapoor at Abir Gulaal in Aarti S Bagdi. All romantic dramas are scheduled to be released in theaters on May 9th.
