Forbes Magazine has released its list of global billionaires for 2025. This features many celebrities reaching that threshold, revealing that it only includes people famous for their stars and wealth that “became first and then richer.”
Here are a few celebrities who have built a great fortune over the past decade.

Oprah Winfrey, $3 billion

Oprah Winfrey rose to fame after appearing in the 1985 film The Color Purple. She was nominated for Golden Globes and Academy Awards. A year later, her star power surged when she began hosting the talk show “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” which aired 25 seasons from 1986 to 2011.
Meanwhile, she published O Magazine and launched her own television network, the Oprah Winfrey Network (Own).
In addition to “The Color Purple,” Winfrey has appeared in other successful films such as “The Wrinkle in Time,” “Selma,” and more recently “The Six Triple Eight.” Forbes will have a net worth of $3 billion.
Jay-Z, $2.5 billion

Jay-Z invaded the music scene after launching his own record label, Roc-A-Fella Records, and later released his first album, “Reasureable Doups” in 1996, followed by “My Life, Vol. 1.”
The success of his first two albums led him to release 14 albums that reached number one on the charts, including “The Blueprint,” “American Gangster,” and “4:44.”
In addition to his success in music, the rappers have been successful in businesses that include multiple liquor brands, each selling for millions of dollars. Kim Kardashian, $1.7 billion

Kim Kardashian became a common name when she and her family began appearing on E! “Keepting with the Kardashians” reality series aired from 2007 to 2021. When the show ended, her family returned to reality TV with the Hulu show “The Kardashians,” which has been airing since 2022.
While she gained fame from reality television, Kardashian took advantage of every opportunity to take on modeling work and develop scents. When she launched skincare brand Skkn in 2022, she took it to a new level.
A year later, she launched Skims, a popular shapewear line. It is valued at $4 billion, according to Forbes. The outlet lists her net worth of $1.7 billion.

Taylor Swift, $1.6 billion

Taylor Swift has dominated the music industry since the release of his second album, “Fearless,” in 2008. This has risen to the number one. He then released one other album of 13, including “Reputation”, “Midnights”, and “1989 (Taylor’s Version).”
The 35-year-old musician embarked on a successful ERAS tour in March 2023, delivering 149 shows in 21 countries and over 50 cities. The tour ended in December 2024, exceeding $2 billion, making it the highest growth tour ever.
Forbes values Swift’s net worth at $1.6 billion.
Tyler Perry, $1.4 billion

Tyler Perry shot to fame as a writer and star for all projects in the Madea franchise, including film, theater and television shows. All of these have the rights. According to Forbes, the franchise sold $660 million and earned $290 million.
In addition to the Madea franchise, Perry also created the popular show “House of Payne.” He also signed lucrative deals with Netflix and Viacomcbs, earning a stake in Bet+ Streaming Service.
Perry has its own production company and film studio in Atlanta, Atlanta, and rents it to major film studios, including Amazon, Disney and Warner Bros. Forbes.
Rihanna, $1.4 billion

According to Forbes, the cosmetics brand was valued at $2.8 billion in 2021, with the outlet estimated her net worth at $1.4 billion.

Bruce Springsteen, $1.2 billion

Bruce Springsteen has been a popular name since the 1970s when he released albums such as Born To Run.
The singer locked out hits for years, including “Born in the Usa,” “Racing in the Street,” and “Hungry Heart,” and achieved success in 2021 when he sold his music catalog to Sony for $500 million.
“I’m not a billionaire,” Springsteen told the Telegraph in October 2024.
Despite his comments, Forbes lists his net worth at $1.2 billion.

Jerry Seinfeld, $1.1 billion

Jerry Seinfeld was co-creator of “Seinfeld,” which aired on NBC from 1989 to 1998. The series has made him famous and continues to be a source of income for comedians. He received the residue and sold the streaming rights to the series to Hulu and then Netflix.
He also signed a lucrative deal with Netflix for $500 million. Through that partnership, he created the show “Comedians in Cars in Cale in Corefe,” the film “Un Frosted,” and his comedy special “23 Hours of Murder,” which paid Netflix $20 million.
