A huge collection of props, sets, outfits and memorabilia from your favorite sci-fi franchise can become yours if you spend $5 million. SellerForce has posted a new list of extensive collections from SF World, a non-profit museum dedicated to the history of Hollywood science fiction films created by the Hollywood Science Fiction Foundation. Museum organizers aren’t planning on renewing their leases, so they are about to sell a number of items pulled from the franchise, including Star Trek, Star Wars, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Lord of the Rings, and RoboCop.

The museum contained more than $7 million in memorabilia, but not everything the buyer would buy, according to the list. Asset sales also include six website domains, an email database with over 9,690 followers, and eight social media accounts with 288,766 followers, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Kickstarter accounts.
The list also addresses the possibility that buyers, investors seeking to revive the museum, are investors, and that asset sales may include everything they need to make it happen. Another factor to note is that individual assets will not be sold as this asset sales are only available as a complete package.
Sci-Fi World opened in 2024 and featured Hall of Heroes and Hall of Robots, but the organization will also launch classes on makeup and special effects, film screenings, lectures and creating areas that can be rented for special events.

The entire project was actually launched on a much smaller scale. This was initially an attempt to save the Star Trek Enterprise-D Display Bridge Touring set created by Paramount. The project has attracted a lot of attention from fans and former members of the Star Trek cast, but is about to find a museum to house the bridge. That was when fans gathered to be a memory of the Museum for the Bridge and many other franchises, creating a world of science fiction.

The Los Angeles-based 501C3 nonprofit was launched in 2012 by fans of TV’s Stark Trek Show. When the museum did not express interest in the set, Star Trek fans united to establish their own museum, quickly expanding to include other popular science fiction franchises, and a horror museum focused on scary films from popular films.
The museum has also launched an educational component that includes daily makeup classes that show the process of creating special effects. A game where you can use classes, lectures, film screenings, and games every day. A space that can be used for rentals, live theaters, and music events. Rooms for weddings and private parties.
Museum organizers are not planning to renew their leases at Santa Monica real estate, and are about to sell a huge list of props, costumes and memorabilia from famous science fiction and horror films.
Museum assets can be of value over the years, as movie memorabilia items usually do. The collectibles industry is a large industry estimated at $462 billion in 2023. The subset of that, the global television and film memorial market, is particularly vibrant.
The actual value of these items has increased significantly in recent years as items can be easily found on e-commerce sites and internet auctions and platforms such as eBay. Due to the seller’s ability to prove reliability, these items are in high demand and will result in extremely high bids.
These items may be of value to other museums as well. There are plenty of film museums dedicated to entertaining film lovers, including the Hollywood Museum in Los Angeles, the Moving Image Museum in Astoria, New York, and the Cinema Museum in London. The museum’s assets list spans many films that are huge box office revenue or have developed a sequel to the cult, including Lord of the Rings, Planet of the Apes, Shining, Iron Man, and Spider-Man. Collectively, these items are estimated to total over $7 million, while personal items can be sold for between $500 and $600,000.
For investors looking to revive the Science Fiction Museum, everything they need to make it happen with this asset sales is available. The investors will find the museum’s social media followers are another important asset for future businesses and museums related to film history and memorabilia. The museum was able to build a collection of nearly 300,000 followers on its social media pages. This includes Enterprise Bridge Repair (with over 97,000 followers), Instagram (over 37,000 followers on science fiction and horror pages), Twitter (over 79,000 horror fans, 8,400 SCI-FI fans), and Kickstar (3,671 followers).
These social media platforms are a very organic traffic and digital marketing source for investors who purchase these assets and then use them for their new business, whether they are focusing on history or selling film memorabilia. Asset sales also offer strong suggestions to buyers. Usually, liabilities related to the Seller, such as outstanding liabilities and contingent expenses, remain the sole responsibility of the Seller, thus reducing the risk to the Buyer.
Please note that this asset sale includes all items as a complete package. We do not consider individual assets or fragmentary sales offers. Thank you for your understanding. To learn more about this rare investment opportunity, contact sellerforce today. List ID: SF463 inch
