Fans of “Rocky Horror Picture Show” are now a chance to book a screening and meet the original cast to celebrate their 50th anniversary at a Michigan event.
According to a news release, the cult classic film featuring “Sweet Batteries from Transsexual Transylvania” marks its anniversary this fall on its North American tour. In the decades since its release, the film has been ongoing screening. This includes interactive shows with audience participation and live performances with the shadow cast.
The latest tour includes stops in New Buffalo and Detroit, featuring three original cast members appearances.
“We probably never thought we'd tour our little all-movie in years. I'm very excited to go back on the road and meet generations of fans. I look forward to so much fun, as always!” Campbell said in a statement.

When will you visit Michigan for the tour?
The touring film will be on display at Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo at 8pm on October 17th, 2025, with all three tour cast members on hand.
This tour will be on display at the Masonic Temple Theatre in Detroit at 7pm on October 18th, 2025. All three tour cast members will appear in Detroit.
What is the “Rocky Horror Picture Show”?
“Rocky Horror Picture Show” is a 1975 musical film known as the world's longest-running theatrical release and midnight film. According to Stage Agent, the film was adapted from the 1973 musical The Rocky Horror Show.
The musical features an engaged couple played by Bostwick and Susan Sarandon (Janet). According to Rotten Tomatoes, they ended up asking for a call at the strange mansion of Dr. Frank-Furter, played by Tim Curry. The film follows their strange stay with the strange characters they meet, from science fiction and horror to sexuality.

What anniversary is the 2025 movie marking?
“Rocky Horror Picture Show” is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025. To mark this opportunity, the film and cast members took on more than 40 city tours in the US and Canada in 2025, the news release said.

The tour includes an original cast member appearance, a costume contest, live performances by a local shadow cast during film screenings, and in some cities, a travel museum with film artifacts and costumes.

You can purchase tickets online to participate in a local Michigan screening. Limited VIP tickets offer conventions and greetings with former cast members Bostwick, Campbell and Quinn.
