Graduation season and festivals are fast approaching in the coming months. One of the more gentle and less stressful aspects of watching your loved one move forward in life is seeing their senior photos. This is where Belle Williams, a graduate of Tippecanoe High School (THS) and Career Technology Center (CTC) began her impressive photography career. Now, the newly 22-year-old has achieved what many photographers have dreamed of forever. On February 6th-9th, Bell spent time taking runways, models and behind the scenes photos for Art Hearts fashion during the famous six-annual New York Fashion Week.
Filming fashion was a somewhat new experience for 2021 CTC and THS alumni. Williams began by taking photos of friends and family, then began taking advanced professional photographs. With the help of her mother, she took a senior photo of herself and ensured that they predicted her style and personality. Bell has always pushed her to pursue her dreams as a photographer. She has been working to develop her skills while participating in CTC and runs by becoming an entrepreneur right after graduation. Bell created a photographic style that can be described as timeless, cinematic and romantic. Williams has expressed that her main goal during filming is to make connections with clients and understand them on an intimate level. She has since developed a warm and whimsical style that has brought her incredible success with her couple and wedding photos.
Bell’s photos make viewers feel like they’re falling in love, and the comfort seen in the client’s smile and pose creates a natural, straightforward atmosphere that can be seen in all of her work. Bell captures her emotions in every shot. It’s not surprising that this type of talent is required in a fashion setting. This is a setting that she was inspired by CTC instructor Troy Baker to explore early in her career. Bell’s emotion-evoking skills can be seen in her regular photos and now her fashion shots.
Williams described the filming experience for New York Fashion Week as fast and exciting at a pace. She didn’t know what to expect, but she adjusted to her environment, made connections and went along with the flow, meeting people from all over the world. She says, “This experience opened my heart a lot.”
Her friends and clients praise her excellence, and her photography business is growing with each photo and event. New York Fashion Week was just the beginning of Bell. Tippecanau’s homemade photographer paves her way in the world of Art One Fashion Week, weddings and senior portraits at once.
