Lucy Dacus may not remember this happening, but Hodzier joined her on stage for a fair’s “Bullseye” performance in New York on Wednesday night.
“The person who has a Hozier video that surprised me on stage last night,” asked Dacus on X. Fans immediately responded to their performances on a video of the Irish musician sitting next to her on the stage at Radio City Music Hall.

The video captures Hodgeer sitting next to Dax on a royal blue bench as Dax kicks off the song with his guitar, and Hodgeer taps his foot along the beat. “I miss borrowing your book to read your book in margins/the closest thing I came to read your mind,” shouted Hodzier in the third poem before joining Dacus. “The answer to the question is just more questions. I hope you’re not completely satisfied.”
Dacus long called Hozier one of his favourite artists, revealing in December last year that he was her “top artist.” She even called him an “honorary lesbian” during an interview with they. “I definitely know lesbians who don’t love women,” Dux told Queer Outlet. “And from what I know, Hozier actually loves women, so many lesbians who love women can love his music and there’s a lot of art for people who hate women.”
Dacus is currently above her Eternity is emotion Tour, she announced more dates earlier this month. She will stop in cities such as Philadelphia, Columbus, Portland, Berkeley, San Diego and Pittsburgh until summer and fall.
