Maybe it’s my own fault.
When I assured Amazon Prime that I was still binge-watching Fallout, the drama based on the video game series released this month, I hoped I wouldn’t.
Oh, don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed the show. USA TODAY TV critic Kelly Lawler agreed (see her full review of “Fallout”). I think it would have been better if they hadn’t released Fallout all at once.
Overeating is great! Sometimes I save a few episodes of shows that are released each week and watch them all at once in the evenings or on weekends. But the really good shows, the ones I find most enjoyable, often leave me feeling sluggish and overwhelmed after I finish eating them. It’s the same as when you eat too much.

Yes, I could stop watching the series at any time. I didn’t have to watch all eight episodes at once. I could have saved some for later. But it’s also true that spoilers for most things end up popping up all over conversations and social media within 24 hours of publication, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to avoid them.
