It’s time to enter the Overworld for reality.
After fans playing “Minecraft” for years, the film adaptation arrived, starring Jack Black and Jason Momoa. Black plays the expert who helps Momoa and his fellow people go home and escape the strange, cube world they have fallen into.

What is the release date?
“Minecraft Movie” will be announced on April 4th, 2025.
Is it streaming?
No, you’ll be able to watch the film in theaters for now. But considering it’s a Warner Bros movie, it’s streaming on Max when it’s time for its streaming debut. The official date for that has not been announced yet, but I will update this post if there is one.

Who is in the movie?
In addition to Black and Momoa, the film also stars Emma Myers (Netflix’s “Wednesday”), Oscar nominee Daniel Brooks (“Purple Colored”), Sebastian Hansen (“Just Mercy” and “Lizey’s Tale”), and Jennifer Coolidge (“White Lotus” and “Reg Blonde”).
