Nigerian-American Timilehin Akinsola, aka Miss Timilehin, expressed her reason for setting herself up in the Afrobeat genre in the release of her baking single “Confidence.”
Miss Timilehin’s third single, “Confidence,” is a soul-stimulating song, with the release of “All My Love” and “Running” in 2024, and the singer’s determination to take over the world with Afrobeat songs.
The single was released on Friday, March 21, 2025 on all music streaming platforms.

In a recent chat, Miss Timilehin said she enjoys Afrobeat as a genre and is ready to make a mark and take over the genre despite being relatively new to the game.
She continued, “My earliest influence in music was the fact that Michael Jackson, Fella Anillapo Kuti and Bob Marley burned trails across genres.
Miss Timilehin noted that each song she created reflects her personal experiences and cultural insights. She also revealed that she is currently not cooperating with the act of music yet, but is looking forward to having a duet with Mavins star Lema.

In her words, “I haven’t worked with any major musicians yet, but I would like to create a song alongside the situation of Lema and other Nigerian stars,” she said.
