Zachary Levy stands at his claim that much of Hollywood secretly supports Donald Trump, but he is too afraid to say it publicly.
Shazam! The 44-year-old star has repeatedly been contacted by several entertainment industry peers who personally thanked him for supporting Trump after the dropout of his first 2024 pick, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
“I know it’s true because I got messages from a lot of people who didn’t name me, but were very grateful to have taken the stands I took,” Levi told Variety in a new interview.
“And they say to me, ‘I want to do that, but I’m very afraid,’ and I say to them.
‘And if you feel like you’re being forced to step out like that, do it boldly and know that you’ll be fine. And if you don’t feel that belief yet, don’t. It’s all good. ”
Levy first sparked controversy last October when he posted a live Instagram video urging “Trump voters who closed conservatives and Trump voters.”

“My cry to you, you’ve closed the conservatives and closed the Trump voters.
“I will never pressure you to do that, but if what you’re afraid of is somehow an industry backlash that doesn’t exist anytime soon, then don’t it stop you.”
He also admitted in a variety interview that his political stance had already cost him the job.
“I know that there are people who don’t want to work with me right now because of my opinion. My team has let me know,” Levi said.
“They don’t give me any particular name, but at this point there are people who don’t like to work with me. And that’s a shame. I knew it would probably happen. I didn’t make this decision blindly or casually.”
Levi also responded to past criticisms from his Shazam, Snow White actress Rachel Zegler! Costar once wrote on social media that Trump supporters wanted “not knowing peace.”
“I’m clearly one of those people,” Levi said. “Should I hate her? [Trump is] Are the Nazis the people who vote for Hitler and him? She is a truly talented girl and I think she wants the best for the world. ”
After his October Instagram live, Levy’s political views were also criticized by the view co-host Whoopi Goldberg.

Levi also responded to past criticisms from his Shazam, Snow White actress Rachel Zegler! Costar once wrote on social media that Trump supporters wanted “not knowing peace.” (See it in March)
She challenged his claim that Hollywood is primarily liberal by stating that Hollywood is “always a very right town.”
Levy responded later, noting that Goldberg could only nominate two conservative actors, John Voight and Dennis Quaid, as evidence.
“There’s a lot of messages. They’ve sent me a lot of messages. The whole people in my industry in Hollywood are afraid to vote for Donald Trump or publicly say that they’re somehow conservative,” Levi said.
“So that’s why you don’t see them. That’s why they’re not very common or noticeable because they know that this kind of s**t has an impact.
