Actor Zachary Levy encourages “closed conservatives” in Hollywood.
“They don’t give me any particular names, but at this point there are people who don’t like to work with me. And that’s a shame. I knew that it would probably happen. I didn’t make this decision blindly or casually.”

Before the 2024 presidential election, Levi faced backlash over public support for President Trump. He explained that he still has an ally in the industry.
“Some people may prefer to work with me now, but there are a lot of people on that side of the political spectrum who want to hire me and do business with me because “we need someone who voted differently.”

“They think what I did is at a great risk. And they say, ‘What do you know? I give you a lot of props, because that’s not an easy thing.’ And I go, ‘I’ll thank you for that,’ he said.
“I wasn’t a Trump fan. I didn’t like the way he carries a lot of time, many of these personal things. I understand the disgust of people,” he told the outlet.

He added that actors like them appear to be coming out as Republicans.
“And there’s a lot that means – and they sent me a lot of messages – a lot of people in my industry in Hollywood are afraid that they’ll either vote for Donald Trump or publicly say they’re conservative in some way.” Levi said at the time. “That’s why you don’t see them. So they know there’s this kind of s impact, so they’re not very popular or noticeable.”
Levi opposed the fear of industry backlash by claiming it was “eroding” after the pandemic lockdown and the recent strike of writers and actors, predicting that he would soon become “f–Gonzo.”

“Anyway, everyone’s screams, you closed the conservatives, you closed the Trump voters, yeah, it’s now, never, do you know what I mean?” Levi said. “Do whatever you think you need to do. If you need to come out publicly and say it, and you still feel you can’t, I won’t put pressure on you to do it, but I know if what you’re afraid of is an industry backlash that doesn’t exist anytime soon.

“In a perfect world, whatever it would be, I would probably voted for Bobby,” Levy said. “But we don’t live in a perfect world. In fact, we live in a very broken world. We live in a country hijacked by many people who want to take this place off the cliff.
